In order to become a Real Estate Broker in New York State:

You must be 20 years of age or over

A citizen of the United States or an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the United States

 You can not have been convicted in this state or elsewhere of a felony, of a sex offense

 You must complete 120 hours of Pre-Licensing education, a 75 Hour Salespersons Course and a 45 Hour Broker Course
 

You must complete Broker application on the Department of State Website

You must have 2 years of experience in Real Estate
