PURPOSE:  The purpose of the Education Committee is providing members with current information on educational opportunities available to the real estate professional and the training of new members regarding ethics, bylaws, technology, professionalism and whatever other pertinent information is deemed necessary which will provide those members with the opportunity to achieve the level of knowledge and skill necessary to serve the public with competence and professionalism.

MEMBERSHIP:  Membership is open to GBAR REALTOR® and Affiliate members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To initiate and implement educational policies
• To develop and implement programs and activities which will provide members with the opportunity to achieve the level of knowledge and skill necessary to serve the public with competence and professionalism.
• To provide a budget to the Finance Committee for Education Committee and the Real Estate School .
• To formulate policy and guidelines for the operation of the Real Estate School .

COMMUNITY SERVICE COMMITTEE

PURPOSE:  The purpose of the Community Service Committee is to create opportunities for GBAR members to serve the community.

MEMBERSHIP:  Membership is open to GBAR REALTOR® and Affiliate Members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To support local charitable events.
• To establish guidelines for beneficiaries and/or events in which to participate.
• To determine local events to support or participate in.
• To budget and disperse funds for specific events.
• To organize and facilitate GBAR’s charitable events and fund raisers.

PURPOSE:  The purpose of the RPAC Committee is to support and raise money for issues related to the Real Estate Industry.

MEMBERSHIP:  Open to GBAR REALTOR® Members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Raise money for RPAC
• Distribution of RPAC funds
• Maximize our LRS (Local Revenue Sharing) funds
• Keep in contact with Legislators
• Know legislative Issues
• Keep directors/members informed of political issues
• Responsible for conveying the real estate interest of members to our local, county and state government/legislative Officials. 
• Organize Lobby Day
• Give presentation at Board Orientation
• Monitor representatives voting records
• Organize calls for actions
• Call meetings when necessary (usually coordinated with legislative committee)
